Sana Lamy

Eastern Canada

Sana has always loved being in the water, although the Ocean was somewhat daunting. However, once she learned a bit more about deep sea creatures and the mechanisms behind hydraulic energy, the Ocean became a great fascination! She is pursuing master's studies at the University of Cambridge (U.K.) and researching the interconnection between the power of water and it's importance to the visual culture of early-modern (16-18th centuries) Europe.

This month we are talking about: Wildlife trafficking in our Ocean

The Ocean, covering over 70% of our planet, is home to a vast array of marine life, from majestic whales to colourful coral reefs. Wildlife trafficking, poaching, and the illicit trade of marine species are devastating ecosystems and have far-reaching consequences for the sea creatures, human societies and local economies. Join us in exploring this critical issue and learn how you can make a difference by supporting conservation efforts and advocating for policies that protect our Ocean's precious resources.
